On average, 50 million tourists from different parts of Iran travel to Mazandaran annually to spend a few days in the northern Iranian province far from air pollution, particularly that of Tehran, and enjoy dense forests and the Caspian Sea’s sandy beaches. In addition to these domestic tourists, thousands of visitors from other
countries travel to the province annually to see its natural beauties and historical sites. Mazandaran is a province covered with green vegetation. It is home to 338 kilometers of the southern shore of the Caspian Sea. According to the latest nationwide census, the province has a population of 3.3 million. The figure, however, increases in certain months of the year due to tourists’ influx.
